We simply could not achieve everything we do over the seven days without the energy of our volunteers. If you’re interested, we’d love to hear from you!
At our games, we have a variety of roles in four main areas.
Sports Venues — Our sports programme has over 50 sports.
Associated Events — Opening & Closing Ceremonies and in our Hub based on the Village Green at the Lakefront.
Ambassadors — In and around the CBD and hotel lobbies to assist competitors and supporters with queries.
On-call Volunteers — To be called on at any time and day of the week.
We will ensure you:
Are well-hydrated and supply you with a meal each shift.
Look like your part of the team with an awesome volunteer pack with a uniform and other goodies.
Have access to our games hub and entertainment where we have a great lineup of Kiwi music and other vendors.
Please note we cannot supply our volunteers with any accommodation nor transport to Rotorua. This will be your own cost. Volunteering at our games is also a non-paid role.
